spring like noise from engine on a fresh start

I have the same problem on my 2009 chevy colorado 4cylinder right after first gear on a fresh start i hear like a spring noise its annoying is this normal, i took it to the dealership and they told me that they cant to anything beacuse the engine is brand new with only 1500 miles they said to wait atleast until i get 3000 mi then if the problem continious then they crack ... The Colorado is abysmal in quality and finish. The 5 cylinder engine rounds out the list. One is down to the Tacoma, Frontier and Ridgeline for something in the mid size segment. Possibly the Dakota if you need to tow but then you can get better deals and quality in the Full size Chevs/Fords than the Dakota. If you want quality in GM you have to go with the Silverado/Sierra ... Read More...

I am aware that they have had some reliability issues with some 2004/2005 models regarding valve springs and premature tire failure, but I am not familiar with quality and finish.
