Just this morning I looked at our local Chevy dealer's last brand-new Uplander, a gray 2008 LT with the chrome wheels. It looked nice (I always thought they were better-looking than other vans). There are good news. I own a 2008 long base Uplander. I always heard of brake problems with GM vans. In the marketing sales literature, Chevrolet stated that the brakes on the 08 Uplander are ventilated and oversized. I doubted that. Well it is true. Hey, y'all, I got a 2008 Uplander in early Oct--XM and OnStar but overall very low frills--I like it like that... I've been real happy with it so far... The radio goes bonkers every now and then but no other complaints... I had a trailer hitch installed and the tech said he could not install the lighting plug because of the transistorized electical system being so ... Read More...

I live in SE Michigan and have seen the Terazzo and the Uplander up close. Although they are an improvement, and have very nice interiors, I think the minivan's will be a big flop. They have decided not to offer a product which is competitive with the competition: 1. No true fold flat seat, or rear stow well like the Chrysler, Honda, Toyota, Nissan and Ford products. ...
